SAUDI ARABIA
Saudi Arabia is a country which is completely new to tourism. After being closed for almost ten years since 2011, making it a new and exciting place for anglers to go and explore.
During our first trip, we found what we believe to be one of the top three lndo Pacific Permit fishery of the world, topped up with other species like GT, Golden Trevally, Bonefish and Triggerfish.
The scenario is the typical Red Sea environment, with desert islands and healthy sea, surrounded by a stable country and wonderful people.
THE FISHING
What makes Saudi Arabia so special is the abundance of lndo Pacific Permit with a quantity that will blow your mind, but don’t think it’s easy, cause Permit fishing never is.
The casting always has to be precise, accurate with presentation as well. The quantity of fish in the flat can be varied depending on the tide, wind and temperature, but in general the Permit population of this area is really incredible.
On top of Permit, other species such as Golden Trevally, GT, Bonefish and Triggerfish are out there.
Because of the nature of the ground we only bring small groups of four anglers with two fly fishing guides, in order to fish only the best flats and don’t overfish the spots
ACCOMMODATION AND THE BOAT
We use one of the few locals Hotel, providing single room with toilet and AC for each angler.
Every morning our guides will drive you by van to the port (10 minutes drive) and from the port the boat ride will be variable from 20 minutes to 1 hour in a comfortable central console boat with twin engine and padded seats. Lunch will be always packed at sea.
STANDARD TRIP
The Standard trip includes 6 full days of fishing, fishing every day in a different area.
EXTENDED TRIP
The Extended trip has a duration of 9 full days of fishing, so it will be possible to fish different spots with different characteristics and have more chance to target Triggerfish and GT.
HOW TO GET THERE
The journey starts from Jizan, there are many international flights arriving in Jeddah the capital of Saudi Arabia, from Jeddah there are many domestic flights options. Once in Jizan our team will pick you up at the airport and drive you to the ferry for Farasan Islands.

VACCINATIONS
None vaccinations is required for this trip.
VISA
Visa can be done online and it cost approximately 120 euro including travel insurance.

PERMIT & BONEFISH
A 9 foot for 8 or 9 weight fly rod with an high quality saltwater disc drag reel.
Load the reel with 200 or more mt of 60 lb braid. A high quality weight forward floating line for tropical warm water is necessary for a good presentation.
Golden Trevally, Triggerfish
A 9 foot for 9 or 10 weight fly rod with an high quality saltwater disc drag reel.
Load the reel with 200 or more mt of 60 lb braid. A high quality weight forward floating line for tropical warm water is necessary for a good presentation.
GT, Bluefin Trevally and various reef species
A 9 ft for 12 weight with a very high quality saltwater reel, loaded with 200 or more mt of 80 lb braid.
A very high quality and high strenght line is necessary to pull hard the fish out of coral, we strongly suggest Rio Gt special.
